Now in its 18th year, SDFF is the Bay Area’s premier documentary film festival and an Oscar®-qualifying event for short and mini-form documentaries. Four days of curated non-fiction films, filmmaker Q&As, panel discussions, awards presentations, opening-night and closing-night special screenings, and community gatherings — all in the heart of Sonoma County. The festival draws submissions from 62+ countries and brings filmmakers from around the world to Sebastopol’s stages. Opening Night is April 9th; Closing Night and Jury Awards are April 12th.
